BACOLOD HERE WE COME

Day One

Depart at 9am for Bacolod, the City of Smiles. Arrive at the Bacolod Silay Airport at 10am where you will be met by our local representative. Drive to Hawaiian Philippines Sugar Mill to have a glimpse of the island’s sugar Industry. This is also an opportunity to take pictures of the old steam Locomotives and the muscovado mill. Your next stop is Silay City, also known as the Paris of the East during its glory days at the turn of the Century.

Here you will see Ancestral homes and remnants of its rich history. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Bacolod. Delight your palate with the taste of an honest to goodness Negrense chicken Inasal. Take a relaxing afternoon drive to the south of the island with a brief stop at Hinigaran for some merienda. Continue on to the famous white sand beaches of southern Negros Occidental.

Enjoy your welcome drink upon arrival and fill your lungs with the much needed fresh air. A sunset dinner consisting of seafood and grilled specialties will be served to once again awaken your taste buds. The evening is free for you to relax by the sea or have a soothing massage. (L,D)

 

Day Two

Wake up to the sound of the waves, chirping of the birds and a gentle breeze blowing across your face. Today is the one day devoted for your own personal pleasure.  You may treat yourself to some Scuba diving in a nearby dive site, take a full day orientation trip to Danjugan Island (a marine sanctuary operated by the Philippine Reef and Rain Forest Foundation Inc.), go on a kayak, trace the white sand coastline on a banca or simply spend a lazy day on the beach.

Of course, not to forget the massage that can be had anytime. Tell us what your pleasure is and we will be most happy to assist you. A price list of all these fun filled extra services will be provided upon arrival.  (B,L,D)

 

Day Three

Another morning of fresh air complimented with a great breakfast to start your day.  We head back to Bacolod at 9am and arrive in time for a sumptuous lunch. A local guide will take you on an afternoon city tour that will cover a visit to the Negros museum, San Sebastian Cathedral and to the Negros Showroom where locally made products are displayed and sold.

You will also be taken to a pasalubong center to shop and bring home the wonderful delicacies of the island. Your tour will end at the turn of the century ruins in Talisay. Dinner will be served in this European inspired ancestral home of the Lacson’s. Enjoy its beautiful grounds, take all the photos you want and relive the great moments of its affluent past. Your meal will be meticulously prepared by its European trained chef.

The ambiance, food and the service will bring you back in time to a period of opulence where quality and elegance is the order of the day. Drive back to your hotel after dinner. The rest of the evening is free for you to explore Bacolod by night. The city boasts of good bars, cafes and a casino. (B,L,D)

 

Day Four

This is the day we say good bye to all of you and to thank everyone for making Bacolod a part of your holiday destination. It was indeed a pleasure having you here and we look forward to our next meeting. Drive back to the Airport after breakfast to catch the 11am flight. Arrive Manila at 12 noon. Do tell all your friends and relatives about your great Bacolod adventure. We will be glad to be of service to them too. (B)
